Help deciphering target barrel markings

The barrel is not installed yet but thanks for looking out for me!!

It times at almost 45 degrees so I will be shaving a few thou off the shoulder before cinching her down.

It is perhaps worth confirming to the OP that he has the correct pattern barrel for a L42A1; the CR1470 Ministry of Supply part number is exactly as one would find on a genuine L42, & 1970 was the first year of large scale conversion.

Yes, and those sale marks were not applied to all them from what I've seen around here. Perhaps only the earlier ones?

A very popular and well-regarded barrel in the target shooting world, with a long life too. Different twists were available, so that might be worth checking.

It is also a 4 groove barrel, not sure if that was standard??
