Need the M1 Garand Trigger Housing and the SA Trigger blueprint
Does anyone have the Garand
d28290-18-SA Trigger Housing and the SA Trigger blueprint or a drawing showing all of the dimensions?
I searched the Forum without luck so far, still working on internet searches.
Thank you in advance.
Bill

dims
I can pull the drawings, but the dims are datumed off of different features. The answer wont be .455" or anything like that. Its all tolerance stack.
I need to wait till I get off of work

Here is an example of tolerance stacking from a May dated rev from 1938.
You can see how the way that those particular parts play with each other will have a very wide tolerance.

Check these out.
The dimensions are all datumed from the trigger pin.
In this case the two surfaces (in the blue bubble) can be:
.620-.005" and .74+.020"
Doin the math leaves you at a slot dimension of .120" to .145".
The other details (in green) are even harder cause they are made from radii. These parts were designed to be made and measured and gauged in such a way where they would play nice with each other and nothing else.
Maybe this helped? Also feel free to check my math. Im cutting and pasting on a work break.
