Carbine now at Classic Arms.
They are now advertising carbines for sale. All appear to be post war rebuilds with all the upgrades. Most are Inlands but some Underwood's too. There is a mix of parts on some of there like a type 1 stock with it's high wood intact. Price is about $1200 for these. I think these came in from Ethiopia but over all appear to be in good shape with varying degrees of ware and tare.

I hadn't paid much attention to the Ethiopian carbines. TenOC mentioned them awhile back, but just this past week I watched several YouTube videos on the ones from Royal Tiger Imports. Some looked worth having, but I think they're close to being sold out now. https://www.google.com/search?source...4dUDCAk&uact=5 - Bob

No doubt that these are the same carbines that were being sold by RTI. From the unboxing video the ones that were shown appear to be in nice condition.

Classic's batch went to "sold out" status last night, apparently they sold like hotcakes. Lots of wrong statements in the unboxing video; but after watching it I also think they were Ethiopian origin - slings, tags, metal condition looked like the RTI videos.

I think the unboxing was staged! Undamaged box and not a single gun has moved during shipping!

Well it doesn't matter now as they are sold out. I think they were shipped from RTI and not from Africa in the boxes that were show in the unveiling. They were all post war rebuilds but a few early parts.

The Ethiopians sent soldiers to Korea and they were fabulous soldiers, probably using these carbines. S.L.A.Marshall's book "Pork Chop Hill" has chapters on these soldiers and they really were the real deal. They were the best users of artillery and used simple color coded maps to control it. SLAM says of them: "They took their whisky neat and by the tumbler" people who were in better shape than anyone else simply by coming from that country. I had a friend who was stationed in Asmara and he said that deserters have one of their legs cut off.
