The MKL
entry also includes several on-line videos of the MG42 assembly & disassembly, as well combat action, plus there's a contemporary one that shows a U.S. owner (lucky guy) letting loose with an entire 250 round belt in one long burst. Not good for the barrel, but certainly fun to do, at least once.

I picked up a rather nice India Pattern Brown Bess repro yesterday. Pics to follow. Yes, I know... repros and all... but I'm going to shoot it and would never do that to an original

thansk for the confirmation, I wasnt completely sure it was indeed a m96.
out of the three the no4 is the best looking and prettiest, but the g43 is the most interesting.
I ought to to a foto comparing the gas system of a g43 next to a svt40

Alright, got the camera out after cleaning the m96 and g43.
The g43 is a vopo, EP'd magazine, bolt, lugs etc, but the receiver, stock and bolt cover all match, as originally marked.

The uf no4mk2 is all matching, the bayo is a no9mk1, the barrel is still in the grease, and the finish is 101%, this is in better condition than even my newly produced firearms.

the m96 is all matching except the floor plate, a real beuty, but im wondering if i want to keep it, I think I'll buy a box of ammo and then decide.

these along with my 1911, its been a good month, and on friday we have the AACCA show....
And, Without Steve1973 I would never have found these wonderful milsurps, thanks again!!!

I have a few items I think are deserving of library status, once time permits I think ill take a bunch of pictures and do a write up. Im thinking the g43, the enfield, the 1911 and maybe a p.38, and if needed be yet another k98k, although there are already quite a few fine examples up already.
Maybe the easter show will grant me a righteous M1
carbine!!!
