Accumounts P14 Scope Mount
So I recently picked up an original 1918 scope which came with the original rings and I’m wondering how the Accumounts P14 mounts are and if my original rings will fit prop to their bases? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would you mind posting the rifle serial on your scope, plus letting us know if yours is a PPCo made scope, or a BSA marked one? In case the matching rifle to your scope ever turns up, it would be great to have it.
From what I once had in hands with Accumounts it didn't work. The front scope base is not this tough to make, but the rear one is, with the locking lever.

My scope is a PPCo scope not a BSA. Number is 184302. Condition is excellent all around.

Condition is so good I would wonder if the case was with it until not so long ago? Always worth trying to retrace the "ancestry" of pieces like this.
It's surprising how often we find a "nugget", stick it in our pocket so to speak, and walk off without looking for more in the same area!
I suspect most of these rifles were left in France
after Dunkirk, and would not be surprised if most of them were never even issued to the BEF battalions.

It would have been great if the matching numbered case was with the scope. No idea where this really came from. I ended up noticing it in an auction lot of British optics and took a chance on it. Ended up being a winner. The other gun sights and optics I'll probably sell of but this was well worth the entire lot price.

The only matching numbers scope cases I've so far seen with P.14 scopes were those coming with the Irish rifles. But despite that, your scope is marvellous and you should be proud of it! If you ever part, I have a WWI P.14 sniper rifle that got stripped of its bases where I've already did the front base but haven't had time for a rear scope base yet, I could need it. Maybe also in a trade, if there is something else you could be interested in.

Promo... congrats on finding a P14 ex-sniper. That's what I'm hoping to come across some day. I think for now I'm going to hold on to the scope as I just got it and it fits nicely into my small collection of WWI British scopes. I'm hoping to be able to build representative examples of a few of these rifles. Fascinating the crazy variations they had.

If you want a good setup for a modern socpe (1 incvh) the S&K non intrusive works wonderfully (solid).
If you scope is 1 inch that might work as well but not sure on the eye relief let alone shooting a gun with an old scope and what it might do to the scope.
The S&K uses the rear bolt of the rear site and the spring screw down. Very solid.
The only downside is the cheek weld is not there as you wind up high. Either float your head or get one of the strap on leather cheek welds and build it up per an M1.
