Accumounts Enfield mount - jamming bolt

Good evening everybody,

I am just wondering if I amd missing something or being really stupid.

I have just put an Accumounts (no smith) mount on a 1942 Savage MkI* but I can't get the bolt to open. I can't figure out how the mechanism is being 'jammed'.

Anybody know if I've put the mount on wrongly OR simply if these mounts just don't go on the MkI*? Is the MkI* any structurally different to the British No.4s?
