I have no respect for the rules. I only swore one oath, and it wasn't to these arbitrary rules inflicted on us, infringing on liberty without even passing a law. My grandfather, a WW2 vet, gave me very sound advice when I first shipped out with the Marines..."Keep your nose clean and don't ever volunteer for anything". I'm with you, Ovidio, I suppose I can disrespect the "rules" whilst staying out of sight out of mind too. It's not too hard as I don't generally like being out in public around people at random anyway.
Funny thing, I went to turn around in a mostly empty parking lot the other day. There were two pickups and two gentleman talking. I kind of surprised them while they were shaking hands and getting ready to leave...they gave me a look that said "I hope you didn't see that....nothing to see here...ok we're guilty". Made me want to jump out and give em a hug.
With “respecting the rules” I mean that I have respect for those rules which protect the others. I don’t want to make anyone feel unsafe or unwell beacause of me. But that’s enough. I don’t believe in curfews, in closing pubs and restaurants after a certain time. That is all crap. But if someone walks on my side of the street and I see he or she wears a mouth protection, lifting mine does not cost me much.
But don’t fine me because, when I’m alone, I’m always without.

Concerning the guys in the parking lot: God save them. I miss handshakes...

Yes. Respectful of others I am. I move to the other side of the street, or aside a safe distance and let them pass with a smile and greeting.
I'm noticing the reporting on the "spikes" citing only positive tests...no one is talking about hospitalization rates - go figure because they certainly are not increasing.
On a more positive note...I caught two mostly ignored gunbroker auctions last night - a mas 36 and enfield No 4 mk 2. I'm excited! hopefully they ship fast. My dog likes to buy such gifts for me. She puts them under the tree with a pretty bow and a tag "To dad...love Dog".

Excellent idea, do you guys think I've got enough time to buy a dog and train it to retrieve 'the right' type of rifle in the time left before Santa arrives?
