I little of both. My main reason was because my wife’s father was a company runner for the 2ID and was KIA June 13, 1944. He was posthumously awarded the DSC. I’m not sure if he as a runner would have carried the Carbine or the Garand but I have one of them on order also. The second reason is I have a feeling that these are going to become very scarce in the future.

Very nice, Cranky64. I'm no expert on Inlands but it seems like your 6 digit may even have it's original barrel, a bonus indeed. Let us know how she shoots as well as when you get another carbine to keep it company! ;-)
