I suspect it is a LB/Savage/SM piece that was scrubbed and refinished for Indian/Pakistan service. The bolt was a renumbered Maltby piece that had heavy, block serial numbering, indicative of either POFicon or Ishapore.

I was just about to suggest Ishapore reworks and scrubbing.....

I looked at a typical Ishapore reworked No4 early last year belonging to a mate, virtually no original markings or subcontractors markings left after one, or perhaps two Ishy rebuilds.
