T99 - Who is buying at these prices?

Salt-- I don't see anything that jumps out at me makes that Type 99 worth that bidding price. If the dust cover matched and it had the brass muzzle protector (it had one at one time from the muzzle wear on the bluing), correct Type 30 bayonet and capture papers probably. Unfortunately in the US we have entered into a period that there lots of new folks who are novices and loads of money to spend. I do not see that going away anytime soon.

Wait until the first Nov. after the ammo/gun craziness subsides. Buying overpriced guns can perhaps be a lot like buying a new fancy riding lawn mower where I grew up. Everyone wants to one-up the next guy. Easy to spend in the summer time when money is rolling in, but gets sold in the fall in order buy Christmas presants.
