Well 300 rounds in one month is about what I shot in the last five years. He will probably see more wear and tear for sure if he keeps up that pace. Maybe should have two bolts then.

My Rifle club is 5 miles north of me as a crow flies, about 7 1/2 around the country block.
Seems every time I gear up to go shoot the Wife and 1 or 2 of her friends wants to go.
Amazing how they can shoot AND cackle along swapping recipes.
Or friends I wouldn't hear from otherwise invite themselves to go.
So I end up taking 3 - 4 carbines, but in these cases I do more mag packing and brass fetchin than shooting. And everyone's gone when it's time to clean the guns.

Been too cold for me this winter and haven't got out that much. And deep snow still hanging out so finding your brass is impossible.
Last few weeks I've been going Tuesday mornings shooting Rimfires mixed with a few centerfire Revolvers.
Usually have the whole range to myself at that time. Peaceful and No worries in collecting spent rimfire brass
Jump in the truck to knock the chill off.

I'm pretty well stocked but been searching out for .22LR. Mainly for a friend of the Wife's. I found and ordered 1000 rds last night. Ran me a total of $183.16, breaks down to .18 cents per round including ship and tax.
There is none at all on the counters anywhere near me.

Recently at Dicks Sporting goods, clerk standing behind 100% empty display cabinets. Said 2 weeks earlier Corporate pulled all guns, ammo. I think everything... I didn't see any targets, gun oil... nothing. As I left I knew I'd never be back to 2 full stories of sweatshirts and team logo junk.
Nearest Walmart is only carrying BB's and Pellets.
Dunhams had 4 or 5 boxes of 3 1/2" 10 gage steel shot. No other ammo but did have some guns and misc supplies.

Every online search I tried showed no powder (except pyrodex and triple 7) or primers. Except on GB, and Midway only had powder and primers for .50 cal BMG.
Fingers crossed production picks up.......

I haven't been in a Dicks store for two years, not even for golf balls. Time has come to do our own "Cancelling" with our wallets. The ammo situation seems worse than the last "situation" a few years ago. I heard that last year 6 million new gun owners bought their first firearms. That's a lot of boxes of 9mm and .22. No Ammo, No gun.

And Charlie: It's in the mid to high 70s here in Kalif. Wash your hands!

In my area even the Walmarts have dropped all firearms and ammo sales. Still some cleaning gear and other accessories. Big-5 is still in the game, but after shopping there you feel kind of soiled the way people look at you with a gun in your hand. All things will pass but the frequency of these events is troubling along with other factors. My guess is that when Covid-19 issues are not the roadblock they are today, we will get more stuff in the pipeline. My fear is that the pipe is getting smaller and the good old days are not coming back.

Yep, no fins for you. Loved the pointed tail light lenses, almost a Batmobile. My Neighbors had a black one, they don't make cars like that any more. That said cars today are different but so much better than 62 years ago.

12- Extra Frt sight Pin and Lead Key

Meant to comment on this when you made the post, but forgot. I've never heard of a lead sight key. Were those actually made? The only NOS one I ever had was from Chestnut Ridge and thought it was mild steel - sold it at a gun show and then learned they're now hard to find. I do have a couple used ones, but don't believe they're lead. One came from JimF, so I know it's genuine.

This is entirely unrelated, but saw yesterday on the CC website (under parts) that the descriptive labels for the "Grand Rapids" TH illustrations have changed. The description for the "blue arrow" at the rear lug has been removed. I worked with Jim M. in the past (believe the arrow was white originally) when those "indents"were labeled as being for tooling alignment. I told him what they were, based on my experience with Carbines and even sent him pictures (before & after) of one that I had peened to tighten up a loose fit. I know Jim M. is very busy so didn't want to bother him about it. Do you know if the recent change was intentional, or maybe just lost accidentally in a page revision? Has Dan or Wayne said anything about it? Thanks! - Bob
