I would love one of these!! Does any one have access too one? My understating is inward pressure holds the turret at current alimentary. Rotation of the gnarled outer cuff locks and in locks the turret and rotation of the handle adjusts. Not exactly complex from a design perspective but well beyond my tool manufacturing skills, also my main interest is in field tools ranger than assembly and testing.

The fellow who bought it on eBay does, but that's not me.


The design of the No32 MkI and MkII adjustment locking system is inherently flawed and nothing can improve it except to roughen the underside of the shoulder on the leadscrew and polish the upper side, while also polishing the underside of the locking ring where it contacts the shoulder of the lead screw. Adding a tiny bit of grease to the latter two contact surfaces would also help.
