I was watching a documentary this evening about the battle of the Somme and heard reference to the "Co-Op-Bomb", referring to the "Mills Bomb". I have never heard this expression used before but the explanation given in the documentary was that "everyone got a piece" (of the Mills Bomb when it exploded) and apparently Northern English regiments used the expression quite widely during WW1.

I wondered if anyone else here has ever heard of the expression "Co-Op-Bomb" used when referring to the Mills Bomb during WW1?
