I need to read and follow the instructions on uploading photos.

When I can access a desktop I will give it another try.

'bulletslap - An original 'horseshoe' shaped 'extractor/ejector spring' can be purchased from Movieman630 on ebay for $20.

A 'prong' on this spring catches the edge of the .50-70 cartridge case as it is chambered.

A flat spring on the bottom of the receiver locks on the rear of the cartridge rim, holding the cartridge in the chamber.

When the breech block is opened, a ridge on the breech-block begins extraction of the cartridge case from the chamber.

Once the cartridge rim is forced over the bottom flat-spring, the horseshoe spring ejects the case rearward.

The case is propelled into an 'angled' stud at the bottom of the action's trough. The brisk collision deflects the fired case up & out of the action.

Something is out of whack with your Breech-Block latch mechanism: wrong part or missing retaining-plate?
Parts are pictured and available at:
