Were they all plated gold? Even the example in the link was plated gold just like the op's picture but I didn't see anything about different finishes.

I thought you were pulling my leg, then I read the web page. I don’t care if the factory did it, it’s still the gaudiest piece of crap gun I’ve ever seen in person. A gold-plated Universal is still a Universal.

(Mind you, I’ve seen pictures of Hussein’s guns before, and the Mexican cartel leaders were notorious for gaudy 38 Super 1911s, but I haven’t seen any of them in person.)

You must have never seen one of the "Commemorative" firearms pumped out by numerous company's these last 50 years with gold plated parts and laser engraving for bunches of dollars.
