I always thought the Norwegians started the conversion project and almost immediately stopped it. I have a real 7.62mmNato barrel here as they were sold off after the project ended. I have a very nice .30-06 Norwegianicon here, very nice shooter and BIG conversation starter. They do turn up for sale but do not bring any premium.
