The Best WW2 .45 Rock Island Auctions Had Ever Seen in there Auction. It looks Like it Came Straight from the Manufacture and What it went for was Amazing ! Please Look at All the Pictures of it on the Webpage instead of just these I posted~
Outstanding, If only we could back in time John.... or up sticks and go across the pond.
If anyone is interested and read the letter, Burtonwood is not far from me, approx 5-6 miles, was still very much an airfield until late 90's, industrial area now. small heritage centre there that I,ve yet to go, as entrance is via a theme park so need tickets.

I do look at such things. One has no idea the magnitude of the WW2 airfields in UK until you look at one and see another within about 5k of that one and another, and another...or traces of one.

Sure is Geoff .... Burtonwood was a huge airbase in its time. The M62 motorway runs right through it now of course.
Thought I'd tiddle this up a bit as a living record. We don't see many of these for a reason... The three magazines accompanying were perfect.
Thank You Jim for putting this Together just like the Midas Touch. I couldn't get the Pictures to look Right or especially to line them up the way you do it...
