Well...here I am, pouring ash on my head.
I mixed up two different things.
I called my dad and asked him.
He told me that shell in his house is a 120 mm or 4.7” shrapnell round, with timed fuse.
It went off and kicked out the base, without bursting.
It landed close to home and was retrieved by grandpa after the war.
He also had the other one, but gave it to the ordnance teams.
I’ll make pictures next time.
