for sharing the scope tin label for the No.4T - I was after one for the L1A1 scope and made this up from the image that Gil Boyd posted some years back.

Hope this helps anyone who needs one.

I've repaired a couple of L1A1 scopes in the last year or so and they have been what the guys in the UK icon

would call BOG STANDARD...
They were horrible, with broken screws, beavered screws, lenses loose etc.
I was really shocked to see the poor state of repair of the scopes!!!!!
It looks like they just cleaned out the garbage, and all the ones in North American came through one supplier/importer.

The scope pictured appears to be a repo scope in a repro mount........

To the best of my knowledge in talking to Val Forgetts son, they got the works in two lots.
John Appleton got a few but down the food chain so to speak

It has been a long time and the mind is the second thing to go.
The shipment ran from bog standard to near mint, and ya pays yur money and ya takes yur chances.
