Awesome Bringback Inland 3446 Carbine
I recently acquired an absolutely amazing very early vet bring back M1 Carbine. It’s wood and metal are in the best condition of any of the early carbines I’ve ever seen. Makes me believe it Probably was issued to a senior officer or a rear-area soldier because it doesn’t look like it got hardly any combat wear & tear.
It has all correct / complete early type 1 Inland metal parts . 6-42 Inland barrel, and earliest Highwood I-Cut stock with O, LA, ordinance bomb, and Crossed Cannon stamps all in the Stockwell. Hand Guard has O and ordinance bomb marks.
Came with a early khaki C tip sling with narrow thin buckle and II Oiler and I even picked up a couple of 1942 dated magazine pouches and AI stamped early Magazines.
Pictures to follow:-)

Well I thought that I would be able to upload pictures from my phone. But I’m traveling away from home so it looks like I won’t be able to post pictures until I get back home In a couple days…

I’m traveling and don’t have access to my laptop. But I have the pictures of this amazing early inland on my phone. Is there any way to upload pictures from my iPhone to the forum here?

all looks to be in exceptional condition, it must have been very carefully stored and looked after down the decades....

Very nice and really early number. Possibly didn't see anything except initial issue and then was stolen clean away. I had an M2 that was first run of serial number and was as new. I know for a fact it was stolen after initial issue, I traded it from the man that bought it from the guy that stole it... It was perfect, like yours.
