    You can see the remains of the No.4 MK1 engraving that they didn't quite erase when skimming the old engraving off.
    With thanks to Roy, I blew these pics up etc and it has been bead blasted ( the reason the No4 etc is a bit harder to see as this is only etched and after a few sessions in the blast cabinet they become faint)
    probably done to give it a more realistic finish, the engraving although looks re done, its the original which has been over engraved to make it deeper and wider.

    Fraud, forgery and deception is all I can say, I doubt the seller has the skill set for this so the person who did the work is an accessory to the crimes...... Like Brian says would probably make a good shooter if described correct and the price was in line with a converted No4 to a target rifle.

    Lets hope someone does there ground work and sees this thread.
