Thanks for the feedback. You did a very nice job on that carbine restoration. As I recall, it has a very nice bore and I must confess to not having recognized it as an RIC conversion. The carbine mag conversions are more challenging than the Lee Speed mag conversions because the carbine floor plate fits between the sides with four dovetails for alignment whereas the floor plate on the Lee Speed mag is just brazed to the bottom of the sides - much less fiddly work. It is interesting that the magazine will only accept four rounds now that the earlier follower and spring have been fitted. The body dimensions of the reproduction should be identical to those of an original. I will compare an original carbine follower and spring to those of an MLE magazine.
