    It's carbine alright guys, the metal shroud is short. The one for M1icon rifle is long. I opened the pic in another screen and brought it up to 300% to examine and it's about perfect. Good catch Bill, if you don't want it for the $100USD then flip it for twice that...look around at what they fetch.
