The cheek piece shown my TATOU with the scalloped side is most likely an Auzzie slaz one.
I have one of those as well.
Not all Canadiancheek-pieces were made of walnut.
I have several in varying degrees of completion that were found in the old HCF plant when it was dismantled and trucked to the dump in the late 70's
I was given a handful of them and they appear to be pine.
I missed the boat there as I found out about it well after the plant destruction. Had I known about it I would have been there.
My 99 year old father in law worked for HCF for a while before he went overseas in WW 2 and his uncle was one of the managers.
