NZ .22 Pattern 1914 No. 2 HELP!!
Greetings All
Working away on the .22 book and I have hit a bump.
NZ
received 500 .22 Pattern 1914 No.2's, my example, like most, was rebarreled but the butt marking disc was removed and patched over.
I need pictures of the body markings and the original butt disc for the book of these rifles ONLY. Thanks in advance for sharing but I am trying to see if I can rough out the NZ rack number range for these rifles.
Many thanks all!

Lance, mine has the butt disc, rebarreled by ag parker, all numbers matching. Do you want pictures of all markings?

Oops I read you post too quickly. Mine is a no.2 mkIV with NZ
markings. Far more common than what you are looking for.
I've attempted to attach a couple pictures regardless.

I think mine is Australian
marked but my .22 SR Mk III is NZ

These are nice and are helpful, is there any buttstock markings on your rifle (Australian
?)

It will take them if you have pictures, I am working on NZ currently but Australia is one of my next chapters.

Lance,
More pictures like StratA's rifle just in case it's helpful.

5 more pics attached. No Australian
markings that I can discern. The date on the barrel knox is '29. Underside of the wrist is a 52 and, just below,
P-H
1941
Opposite side of the knox has 5400 in line with that same number on the receiver. Same number stamped twice on the top underside of the forend. (The wood split when the number was stamped so it looks like it was simply re-done.)
The magazine is correct for the rifle with .22 stamped on one side.

Many thanks, is there a marking disc in the buttstock? Second are there any markings on the other side of the barrel?
