I was told clearly by men that worked for him that the rifles were all stripped to bits and reassembled...after parts were inspected. Some older members will remember JohnR now passed on, he was one of the inspectors working on these rifles in Vancouver.
I read that the Danish Garands were shipped to the CMPicon without their bolts. Is there any truth to this statement? Or was what I read actually referring to the Danish rifles shipped to Canada, similar to how you mentioned that they were shipped in bits and pieces?

No, I said they were STRIPPED into every single part and all stripped parts checked for serviceability. I wouldn't doubt the bolt removal story though. If you observe the rear sight cover has a number and an anchor engraved...I've never seen one that matches the rifle number. The stock number also is likely mismatched.
