Given that the maker is not a large concern, and that they are going to produce the FG42, they will probably be up to their ears in work.
With the 3008 experience, they could easily produce a Mk. II Sten reproduction, though. It would be ironic if a 3008 clone were reworked to produce a Sten. Of course any serious decently equipped machine shop could make 3008/Sten reproductions.
John reported on one of the CGN threads that the 38 and 3008 fire from the open bolt. From the shooting reproduction standpoint, that is excellent news, because a closed bolt version is just plain different to handle and shoot. I've always been interested in Stens, going back to when I owned a couple in the "good old days". Might just have to see what could be liquidated to make room for a 3008.
