    You should be able to use a k98k firing pin and spring. The M48 won't fit because I believe its an intermediate length action.
    Most likely its your firing pin spring that is the issue. I have a turkish mauser that would not ignite surplus ammo. Changed out the spring and it works every time now. Wolf springs https://www.gunsprings.com/ makes a very good aftermarket spring for a Mauser. Hope this helps.
