Money speaks many languages Gil I bet a top gun fighter pilot in the RAF would not earn $250,000 pound per year as for morals which are questionable perhaps their becoming a pilot should have a life long caveat not to endorse, train or give away any military tactics or secrets ever, if done then life in prison with hard labour or tied to a post in front of a firing squad.
Then again with the Falklands conflict the Iron Lady dipped into NATO stocks for missiles to combat the Argy airforce as the Navy and Army were wanting for a good air defence network so I guess if you hold the strings you can do at will stuff........................!

I hear its not just OUR pilots, Canadian

Ah..............yes the dreaded EXOCET. There hangs another tale for another day, too upsetting to start that one off I'm afraid

We'll leave that one to another generation to debate on Gil.

They clearly still have a lot to offer, but surely not to our future adverseries.
Forgetting about the Official Secrets Act and other serious laws to infringe.........its common sense why you shouldn't be assisting them!!
£250,000 wage a year is nothing compared to the loss of even one of our young, or indeed ANY NATO pilots life in the future as the South China Sea conflict builds, having taught them tactics!!
Can't help thinking someone must have signed this off as OK to do at MOD!!
IMHO we should open the Tower of London!!
Looking on the bright side, it could be worse; they could have "peddled their wares" to Vladimir Putin.

Maybe they are teaching the wrong or outdated tactics?

Well, we used to get trainees from worldwide in Officer training, even Russian
... When I suggested we were training the enemy I was told to stop talking like that. They'll be teaching correctly and as directed.

There was an outcry a few years ago when the public found out that the Canadian
War College was training Chinese General Officers...and there was another outcry when the public found out that the CF was training Chinese PLA troops to fight in the Canadian Arctic...

Yep... Strange thing about the arctic warfare though, they have severe cold too. I shouldn't think we could teach them much on that.

I have been trying to think of the sort of "job advertisement" that the Chinese might have come up with to tempt "Top-Gun" "exRAF/Western Pilots" to China without making it obvious that they wanted to learn how Nato operate. Apart from the offer of a high salary the pilots must have been told something to convince them. Perhaps China emphasised that they were eager to learn from the best Western pilots or perhaps they emphasised that they were in such fear of their neighbours they needed help to improve their defences?
