Rattle the nuts & bolts
As you know its important not to let machinery sit idle for extended periods but of late the weather here has been to hot for comfortable riding.
Got a cool morning so decided to take the 750 GIXER out as its been a little while since its had a run plus I want to keep its K's low.
It's a 2006 that had 68K's when I got it.
Anyway I was going on a 50+ K round trip to the gunshop for some Hornady 168gn Match HPBT's as they do not make them anymore or are unable to get Hornady A Max 168's.
And that's the only fodder my APRS shoots exclusively I shot a 49.3 & 50.9 at 400M last w/end off a bi-pod with it so guess more load development is coming with the new pill.
I made the silly mistake of having the liner in my jacket and getting stuck in the G/S talking over our states new firearms act that is banning 56 rifle calibers and their ammunition.
It was here I made another silly mistake I went on the main drag instead of the backroads missing all the road works.
As I would be on the opposite side to the work crews/machinery how wrong was I, 60Kph in a 110kph zone for kilometers it was near midday, I was literally cooking in my gear.
Once clear of those restrictions about 5 k's from home I put the afterburners on and scooted home trying to get my jacket of was hellish & difficult.
But the bike got a run, I survived the bl**dy cars tailgating until I blew them to the weeds.
Pic of Gixer near home and the odo now there are some very fast curves just up from where the pic was taken missiled them with ease.

I know the feeling Cinders.
When I worked in the Emirates; a few of us rode our bikes regularly. It's fine if you can keep moving at a good pace.
But full black leathers and 40°C is quickly a problem when you stop in traffic at the lights! used to put the helmet next to the AC before going out!

Especially if it's a Harley. Unless you just like cleaning oil off the garage floor.

In Ft. Lauterdale Fla. years ago I saw some HD guys sitting atop a 1968 Dodge van in lawn chairs throwing large handfuls of rice at every Japanese
bike that passed.

That has been my experience. Here the cars and wildlife are one and the same. Between that, cellphones and old age I think my riding days are over.

As you well know, these bikes don't leak, they're just marking their territory.
