This is one of those strange pictures, where you ask yourself where the target is.
They seem to be shooting against the small hill very close by, but that could not be real.
Probably the hill is much more far than it seems to be, otherwise they would be covering really accurately.

Possibly in holes in the ground.

Perhaps the hill is a little further from the road in real life due to how the photo was taken/type of lens used.
