That is the hammer that is in my 4.9 million Inland which I believe to be original to this particular carbine. They are not a common hammer, but I think they saw some use in the late 4.9 and early 5 million range of Inlands.

The problem is the books have not been updated with information that has been known for years,
Scott.

Does Riesch have any updated info in his latest revision?
I've not looked at one yet.

Some authors do not own the rights to their books. Some authors, as part of the publishing deal so they do not have to lay out the initial cost, sign the book rights over to the publisher. In that case the publisher never updates the books, just continues to print original editions as needed.

Thanks for the reply, Bill.
Seems this thread is continuing at:

I just wish there was a way to combine the knowledge of yourself with BQ97, Milsurpcollector and others into a book......Paperback printed on tissue paper would be OK.
The logistics would be a nightmare, but there's just way too much knowledge here to not take advantage of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting any of you guys to expire anytime soon, but I'm thinking of the next generation or so. They're going to have the same ol' tired reference books that we do....

Sometimes when you have new information, you have too update you own books. Passed along by BrianQ,why have a clean book?Looks like you don`t use it.
