Another fine A4 conversion story!
I sure hope the bidders on this gem are bidding for the couple of parts that may be for an A4 (stock and scope) and not the total BS story. The entire rifle has been reparkerized "Battleship Grey," The mount is commercial and along with the rings has been reparked the same grey as the rifle. The scope may be an early M73B1 but with zero pictures of electropenciling it is impossible to tell. The stock may or may not be an A4 replacement stock. Total BS to pawn off a bad A4 clone.......

looks like a A3 made to look like an A4 with correct parts..not a bad job, other then the repark,
price is fair so far, even the scope is ok, the base is a non Redfield made commercial.

Hey, the Remington librarian told him it was correct. How much better can it get?

theres been alot of 03a3 (a4) conversions on there lately being passed off as authentic a4's.... Aslo some outragously priced ones, like the one arsenal refinished with no scope or rings for over 5k...
So glad I have read this site for years, and know what im looking for the most part these days.

From his description, which is confusing, he describes an A3 versus an A4. I don't know if he made that as confusing as it is on purpose or not, but it was a good job either way.

laughing about this gun is ok, but this guy should be brought up to speed with a personal email by someone who knows,(chuck) and point out the obvious discrepancies in the gun. A 1903-a3/4 should get more respect that this guy making it up.

OK - So send him an email and see if he responds before the auction ends.

i no longer feel its my duty to point out what he most likely knows, hense the no returns thing.
i dont do it at gunshows, GB, AA, ect, if its a deal, i buy it, if its BS, i warn my fellow collectors, and leave it be.
now, if im asked my opinion on what a weapon is, by the owner, or a possible buyer, then the gloves are off.
likely anyone who,s looking to fork out the bucks for an A4 has done some research, even a little bit will protect them from that BS.
if they havnt, and have the money to burn, its a cheap education.
i had such a buyer a couple weeks ago, walked up to my table with a Nat Ord. POS.
with a , i got a smoking deal on something look on his face..
my only responce.
i invited him behind my table, showed him the pics of the N O thats blown up a few weeks ago.
asked him..still think 400.00 was a smokin deal??
do your research, ask fellow collectors, BEFORE you throw cash on the table.
he asked me if he should ask for his money back,,
i said why, it wasnt the dealers falt, he had no idea as well, as most the weapons on his table were if the cowboy action type.
the A3 was the only Milsurp on his table..
told him to man up, take the loss, and the education, use the rifle as a parts gun for a semi sporterized Remington or SC A3..and learn from it..
NEVER EVER blame someone else for your lack of knowlage.
the rifle was worth close to what he paid for it for the sum of the parts..
but not a smokin deal that he thought.
iv got my share of turds, and i didnt blame anyone but myself. i knew better the next time for sure.
