    Oh wow thanks again BAR! I would have never in a hundred years figured out exactly what that spring was haha. I was convinced I already knew what it was being a flashlight ring haha. Do you have any guess what that little black part would be to? Also, if any member on here would have a need for that M3 grease gun spring let me know and I'll send it your way at no charge, as long as you are in the USAicon and can legally have that spring. I don't need it for my collection but somebody out there may need it for theirs. There is also a receipt from 1950 from the DCM where a gentleman bought an m1903 for $18. I can't tell yet from the pictures if the serial number is on that sheet but if it is I would like to try to find the current owner of that rifle so I can get that receipt to him or her
