    Another option, if you want to keep the current stock, would be to take it to a good stockmaker and have them make an extension of the forestock. They could likely hide the joint under the barrel band. Once you find the nose piece, handguards and other bits they could fit it all together and make it look pretty darn close to original. That's what I did with my Norwegianicon Kragicon M1912 Carbine.
