    Yep - I've got a factory fresh, unissued bayonet for my 1947 Fazakerly No5 that doesn't fit - the ring is slightly too small to fit over the flash hider

    Me too, but I've always wondered whether it's a fake or repro. I'd think a legit item would fit, but BAR suggests a little thing like that may not have been a high priority for the acquisitions civvies.

    Were it one that had been in stores, it would have been altered to fit. Ask PL... What I was suggesting is makers marks don't count to storemen. Fitment and serviceability does.

    Possibly Mick, but I'm pretty sure its wartime (or very early post war manufacture), carrying the N187 code for Radcliff
