Just strip all the paint off of the rifle. Then I use Oxblue from Brownell's. Matching all the small parts the same way. If you treat the stock too look like it was used an not fully refinished it will look like an old rifle.

The 1930 stock fit pretty good,only had to inlet a tiny bit for the bottom metal.Im now waiting on a handguard.Since this rifle is a 100% basket case,I think I'll leave it looking ugly and mismatched.
