A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Let me rephrase that slightly, seeing as I once used both BB guns and paintball guns in training. I'm 72, long retired, and no longer run around the woods (or in buildings) hunting people in training, so I only shoot and collect live firearms and have no use for a toy regardless it's value to training.

I was so happy when we graduated from paint ball guns to Simuniltions. Ever shot Sims out of an MP5? The velocity with them will sink the Sims under the skin!

    Thank you Jim!

I unfortunately missed those, have a few in my cartridge collection from the ones left in my desk drawer in the Small Arms School. The new Joint Task Force used them but I didn't get more than reports from guys on them. I think they're all out of the system now.

There is no cheating in combat, there are only winners and losers.

Red Ryder BB guns (and goggles) in "Quick Fire" training (instinctive shooting) 1970 and paintball guns during woodland training years later. It was essentially unauthorized scout unit training with self provided paintball guns. Make sure you wear your worst set of BDU's. And I still have no use for an airsoft replica of anything. If not live I don't need/want it.
