    Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. Noticed in one picture jumper carried both an M1icon Carbine and a .45 cal.

    Realize this is a B&W pic but the pistol holster and boots look to be black.also the trooper in the middle at the back of the stick appears to be holding a black Griswold bag. Just hard for me to connect this particular photo to D-Day activities.

    Notice too the general lack of other combat gear on the men, no blackened faces, etc. Possibly a training shot?

    Compare it to the next photo with the troopers wearing Mae West's and other gear.
