"FALphil's" article is new to me but I'm quite familiar with Jim Bullock's writings, as are many here on this board. He first introduced us to it on the now defunct "Britishguns.net" site.

Even before he wrote that up, my rule of thumb was to avoid using once fired commercial brass in milspec chambers. Through actual shooting, none of us have ever had a problem using factory loaded 308. I've said this more than once and I'll say it again....
I have yet to see a casehead seperation using 308 brass in a military rifle which didn't involve a reload.
