Good grief!!!! Sighhhhhh! Booo hoo hooo! I really feel bad..Thanks for the info. though, I was actually trying to get an indirect assessment from you guys in my What A Country post without revealing the listing on Ebay. Since nobody replied, I went ahead. The weave kind of looked suspect to me but it was the metal parts that I bought into. I guess most newbies pass thru this stage. I actually paid for it already, double whammy...I will try to return the item, since I suspect the seller also doesn't know its a fake because he also has repro slings and states it as such + he's rated as a number 1 seller on ebay. Other reasons why I believed him.

Here's the sling that he calls current production. (In other words repro.)

I know the secrets of telling a fake from legit is close to your hearts and should not be divulged in a public forum like this so 'EM HUMPERS don't get better at what they do and burn more newbies like me. But I hope I can count on you guys in the future, even if its in email or a simple LEGIT/FAKE would do. TIA from a newly born sucker!!!

Don't feel too bad about it Sgt. Sanders. I think most all of have been taken at one time or another.
