While we are talking slings
Just bought a bunch and found this unusual the sling on the left has one tip that appears to be zinc plated, the opposite tip is Chrome. The sling on the right has one zinc plated tip and the other end is plain steel.

Maybe Bill Ricca can shed some light on these.
Will you fill us in with more detail where you came up with these? It almost looks as if the ends have been replaced from the photo. Maybe repaired? The weave doesn't look right, but maybe it's just the photo and I understand there were a few rare instances they used different web. The clasps look right.
