That would certainly make since and tie the IIG stamp on the stock and the EIRR stamp on the disk together in a nice package.

I googled Allahabad Arsenal and found this link that to a page that displayed a similar stock disk with the A A and EIRR markings (you will need to scroll down the page to find the disk):
