USMC Sling
I lose a little faith in the honesty of Nick with this listing.
"AUCTION IS FOR ONE NEW UNUSED M1
CARBINE SLING IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. SLING IS STAMPED USMC BOYT -43. AGE AND ORIGIN OF SLING IS UNKNOWN. SOME COLLECTORS SAY ORIGINAL, SOME SAY NEW PRODUCTION, SOME SAY FOR RIESLING MACHINE GUN. WHAT IS KNOWN IS THAT THIS IS A NICE LOOKING SLING, MADE WELL AND WILL LOOK FANTASTIC ON YOUR CARBINE. POSTAGE IS $3.75. THANKS"

It should not come as a surprise. This sling was identified as a fake a long time ago and he has had these on eBay for years. He will make multiple listings too, for the same sling. He knows the issue, that is why he describes it the way he does.
Schlegel, the largest maker of slings during WWII, made close to 4,000,000. And yet this USMC Reising sling is on eBay more often.
