    Shame on you Doug!!

Seriously, There are many experts out there as I've found out over the years. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them because I'm still learning and will NEVER know it all about anything. As I've said before though, I know who to ask the hard questions. I also buy books and try to digest as much as I can. ATB.

Well Brian, I've certainly learned a LOT from listening to you, Lance, Lee Enfield and many others, plus reading everything Peter and Ian have written, but on my best day, I'm not sure I'll ever get to the levels of subtle detail and depth of knowledge you guys possess.

Anyway, thanks for passing on what you can to the young collectors, because it does help them not get sandbagged and disappointed with fakes, plus if we don't encourage, educate and get the new guys excited with the enjoyment of owning these old pieces of history, our hobby will gradually fade away. Then we'll have nobody to talk to except our wives ...

    Regards,
    Doug

I'm learning the hard lessons far too often myself; and there's no way I can be construed as an ex-spurt, 'cause I'm far too close to home....
