Yes, the Mk2 sight was original to '41, '42, '43, up to June '44

The retro-fit of Mk III sights to earlier began in June '44 when they also entered the production stream.

Just because it may be parked doesn't mean that the story isn't basically true. I've seen newly Canadian FTRed guns that just came out of the cosmoline.

Having said that, I wouldn't pay @$300 for a story....
