Thread: WW2 receiver, DOD stock - sand it?

    No, but with it being a VERY faint postwar cartouche on a non-matching rifle, I wonder if the value or significance of the stock will be reduced much if I sand the stock in areas other than the cartouche. It's a pretty dinged up stock.

    I'd trade it for a GAW in fair to decent condition...

    You know that is not going to happen but you might be able to sell it to someone and get a down payment on the GAW.

    Really, it's your stock to do with whatever makes you happy.
