Colt's M1911A1 reissue pistols with a serial number beginning with WK are the first run production. Pistols with WMK serial numbers are Colt's atempt to make it more right.

I saw one of the carbonia blue pistols for sale today for 800 dollars, still in box with accessories. A deal?

Hell yes that's a deal! You'd better go back and get it! Those are out of production, they promised a limited run of the WMK suffix series and stopped when they hit the target number. Then they started in making the WWI numbered 1911's with the "black" finish, which are still in production.
