Wouldn't that be neat! That would bear more and closer pics. The broad arrow is unmistakable. The bend mark is present and the other marks(PFD) are UKicon I think. It's not in the book I have. (Lee Enfield Story) I just checked Skennertonicon's book on the US Enfield. The bayonet is in fact the trials blade for the 276 cal pattern 1913. There were only a little over 1000 of these made. So, good catch Mick, it's rarer than rocking horse poo. Wonder what the value is???

    bayonet

I may be better able to explain what is on the blade than taking a photo
On one side a crown over GR
    1913
    5 13
    FFd or PFD
    The other side
lookks like an inverted Von a stem , one side of V heaavier
    small crownover TEoverF
another smalll crown over TE over F
    and a stange looking X
On the iron hilt the nember 804
That is allk I see on this one.

    Russ...

You didn't see it because you probably did what a lot of folks do, which is use your back space key and expect to a see a "new" post on a stale dated browser page (because of using the back space key).

When you do that, you have "refresh" the page you're browsing...

I've deleted your second (and duplicate) post ...

    Regards,
    Badger

It IS a Pattern of 1913 Trials bayonet. VERY rare. Have never seen one, only read about them. About 1200 were made, and most had the hooks cut off for use with the P-14 rifle. The grips for the P-13 bayonet did not have the 2 cross grooves like the P-14 bayonets did.

Well, since I am not very knowledgeable about bayonets, I dont know what the 2 cross grooves refers to, where were the grooves. Just trying to make sure I am noit misrepresenting this bayonet.

The two grooves were cut across the wooden grips of the handles to distinguish it from the 1907 Pattern Sword Bayonet.
