Blimey - that's a heck of a way of getting a stacking swivel Alan! Shame we uk people can't just buy a gun and stick it on our tickets... Be careful selling the mag on ebay - they're definitely banned - seen people calling it an 'outer' there to avoid suspicion - best use buy it now so potentially it might only be up a short time. I presume a bolt would, as it's load bearing, have to go on a ticket like a barrel, although I could be wrong.
Which auction was it? Anything enfield-y of interest to report?

Scotarms at Newark.
There was a LE No1* dated 1901 action, bolt and barrel (not cut down - just looking for furniture) with an 'extra' SMLE Heavy barrel (full length) that made £80 for the pair.

A Nice No2 Mk4* with PH5A sights made £450 (I think)

A No4 Mk1/2 that was in the catalogue as having drilled action for a No32 scope and a cheekpiece on the butt - Ahaa I thought - a scopeless T but it wasnt.

Bolt.......... but not if it's from a shotgun. SG parts are not certifiable or quantifiable either.

I have a No4 in 410 shotgun so I've now got a (LB) spare bolt, Peter is correct, as its for a shotgun its 'Off Ticket', if it was a spare for my No4 303 or Enforcer it would be 'On-Ticket' crazy world !!!

Obviously I wouldnt use the bolt or bolt head on the 303 but it does give me some extra spare parts, Cocking piece, firing pin, spring, 7.62 extractor.

The first swivels were made up in the small machine shop at Holland and Holland by ladies called up for war work. The picture shows the stages of production.

They were made up of 3 pieces to drawing D5(E)5848/189 especially for the No4T. There were trays of complete and incomplete, partially made swivels at the old factory in the early 80's. Some were completely plain and some had a VERY small S51 logo stamped into the top chamfered edge of the rotating ferrule. Others had a simple WD arrow stamped into the head of the screw while others had an equally small S51 stamped into the head in place of the WD arrow.

The swivel is marked "Parker Hale Made in England" around the rim and "215U" and an 'arrow' on the centre boss.

That’s why I’m so mad, you gave up the chance to have an British Enfield Rifle that came with tighter head space standards than the American SAAMI.
